About

My name is Randy Pemberton and I welcome you to my blog. I write because the Triune God is renewing this world, providing the raw material, the timber, to rebuild the nations. With awe and joy, I am thinking through what this divine activity means. Of one thing I am certain: it is great news! My further thoughts are posted here and I look forward to your reading and response.

A little about myself…

Call me the Arkansas Traveller. I grew up in that fair state but have lived in five others over the last forty years. Such wandering hither and yon is not recommended for a growing family, but my talented wife has walked with me the whole way. Since 1994 she and I have lived mostly in Minnesota and have watched the kids scatter to another state and a foreign country. Serves me right!

Though pastoring churches has been my main vocation, I am presently doing other things. However, I am still very serious about serving the Triune God; that is what this blog is about. My posts will deal with being faithful to God in the realms of church, society and the home. Of course, that covers a lot of territory. My focus will be on the raw material, the “timber”, needed to rebuild our culture in these areas. It will be taken from the great forest of truths in the Old and New Testaments.

Your comments or questions are welcome. Since I am still learning to do these things, I won’t have all the answers. Certainly, your input will help me sort these things out. But I do believe you will find here much that is true, and therefore much that you can use to rebuild your life under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Enjoyed your thoughts. I have the websites I visit organized under various headings; not sure if I should place it under Religion or Lumber!

God’s blessings on this writing/sharing venture and in all things may His Truth be told! 🙂
